About Pharmaceutical Yield Calculation
Yield calculation is a fundamental part of the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) review. It ensures process efficiency and helps identify material loss or process deviations.
Calculation Methods
- Simple % Yield: Used when the Theoretical Yield is a known standard value from the Master Formula Card (MFC).
- Stoichiometric Yield: Used in API synthesis to calculate expected yield based on the limiting reagent's mass, molecular weights, and reaction mole ratio.
